How it works

Pips works from a photograph. It must be clear and must “talk” to you.

 

It can be colour or black and white, but must, ideally reflect something about the unique character of the subject; a wayward eyebrow, a look or an expression.

 

The photo will dictate the method; pen, pencil or charcoal and ideally then the size. 

Process

  • Get in touch through the website or by email, please include a few photographs of the subject.
     

  • Pips will make contact by email or phone to discuss the subject. Discussions will include:
     - ideal format and style (portrait/landscape/size)
     - best medium to suit the character of the subject (pencil/charcoal/pen)
     

  • Pricing is dependent on the above – on agreement and receipt of 50% deposit, work will begin
     

  • Balance of payment on completion
     

  • Collection in person where possible or sent in AusPost paper tube if there is no better option and the recipient accepts the risk of damage to the artwork. (there is a risk with charcoal work however a fixative will be used to minimise the risk)
